Scholarship Application

With our main objective being ACHIEVEMENT, we gladly offer scholarships to eligible male graduating students in the Hartford region. Applications are due April 26, 2024.

The Hartford Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is proud to announce the availability of scholarships for graduating male students attending school within the Hartford region. Applicants must be enrolled in a college/university and or trade school beginning in Fall 2024. The scholarship is a one time award for the freshman year. To ensure the success of your submission, it is advised that you have 1-2 adults review your application before submitting. The scholarships are extremely competitive and will be awarded based on a scoring metric. Incomplete applications will not be accepted for review.

Please note that if you are selected as a finalist, you will be notified by a committee member who will then provide further details to accept the award. An awards program will be held on June 22, 2024 at our Annual Boys II Men Brunch - Celebrating Greater Hartford’s Young Men. Attendance is required. Tickets to this event can be secured through Eventbrite. Evidence of Fall 2024 enrollment (college/university and or trade school) must be submitted prior to attendance along with additional information.

A diamond doesn’t start out polished and shining. It once was nothing special, but with enough pressure and time, becomes spectacular.

In addition to filling out the application, you must fill out the Educator Recommendation form. This form should be completed by the student’s guidance counselor, a high school course teacher or academic instructor. Please note all fields must completed and the form should be submitted along with the student’s application.
